Joy is spending time over the holidays with my family, skiing through the beautiful snow-covered pines.

Skiing through the winter woods

I showed you some evening scenes from these trails in my last post.  As you can see, the trails are just as beautiful during daylight.  We are fortunate to live in a place with so many natural escapes that allow us to get out and enjoy the otherwise very long winter months!

  12. beautiful!! wish hubby would want to learn cross country skiing….alas….not to mention it hasn’t really been the weather for that lately with below freezing temps! today’s and yesterday’s weather would suit me better 🙂 (but here comes another deep freeze…..)

      • heh, take heart. I read last night that by mid January we’ll have more “normal” temps. just hang on for a couple more weeks and then you can put your skis back on 🙂 me, I think I will finagle more work at home days…..
