Weekly Photo Challenge: Adventure

Everything is a new adventure in the eyes of a puppy ….  a simple walk on the trails turns into an excited gallop, exploring new smells, new sights, new sounds …

This bundle of endless energy is only one of many reasons the blog and my blog reading has been neglected the past few months.  The daily adventure called life sometimes gets in the way.

Puppy Adventure on the Trails

Ciao! ~ Kat

This post was in response to the Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge.  ”Adventure” was this week’s theme.  Everyone is welcome to join in the Challenge; further details on how to participate and links to others’ responses are found here.

    • We hadn’t adopted a puppy in 20 years for good reason! 🙂 But after adopting older dogs and caring for our “senior” four-legged friends, the bundle of energy is a nice contrast — and our teenaged boys were extra sets of helping hands this summer. She can be a delight … and then sometimes an energetic terror! ha! Thanks for stopping by, Dina!

  1. You’ve a puppy? It’s a wonder you have any spare time at all. Enjoy and don’t worry about WP. We’ll be here when you come back. 🙂

    • Winnie is now 8 months old and starting to have more moments of calm in between the bounce-off-the-wall energy! Havent had a puppy in 20 years, but after a string of “seniors” (either aging dogs or older dog adoptions) it is refreshing (and something we only need to do every 20 years :-)). Was meant to be, when we brought Corbin to the humane society to check out his compatibility with a couple other dogs (1-2 years old), she had just come in, and once my husband picked her up, it was all over. Hope all is well with you, John.

    • I grew up with a Brittany! They are lots of energy! I have fond memories of her accompanying me early in the morning on my paper route as a biked around our small town, delivering papers door-to-door.

    • She is cute and can be sweet, but boy puppies are a lot of work! 🙂 Sometimes my older four-legged friend looks at me with a look that says, “Really, was it so bad with just me!?” I have been meaning to do a post on the passing of our sweet old Sadie this spring, which opened the door to this new little bundle, who happened to arrive the day we brought Corbin to the humane society to meet another new addition prospect. Little Winnie came home with us instead ,,,, Hope life continues to shine brighter for you, Sid!
