Old dog, new tricks … finally after 9.5 years, Winnie has learned how to leap off the dock to retrieve her toy.

Before the toy has even finished sending out ripples from the initial splashdown, she is aiming herself as she launches off the edge.

She stretches wide and is airborne!

And just as quickly she tucks in her legs and lifts her head as she hits the water before putting those Labrador webbed paws to good use and motoring back to shore with toy in tow.

She repeatedly gives the toy a gentle throw in your direction until you indulge her in another round of toss, jump, swim.

We are never too old to learn a new trick or two.
