78/365 Dinner and a Show #yearofgratitude

When a friend had an extra ticket to the musical playing at a classic downtown theater, was happy to accept the invitation to dinner and a show to cap off the week.

Even if the show isn’t memorable, the setting still can make for a special outing.

Grateful that many of these old classic homes of the arts are still standing,

  1. I know what you mean, the old theaters from the 30’s and 40’s all glammed out can be fantastic! Yet, I read about a play set on a roof top in Athens with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. They performed several short entertaining performances done in the same way it would have been in Ancient Greece (use of masks to depict different characters). That also would have to be awesome to see. And don’t they do Shakespeare plays in the rebuilt Globe in London?
