And then I’d just feel a prayer . . .

“Why must people kneel down to pray? If I really wanted to pray I’ll tell you what I’d do. I’d go out into a great big field all alone or in the deep, deep woods and I’d look up into the sky—up—up—up—into that lovely blue sky that looks as if there was no end to its blueness. And then I’d just feel a prayer.”  ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Looking up, up, up in the Boundary Waters

Lately, it seems that everywhere I turn, another friend or acquaintance is struggling with their own cancer diagnosis or that of one they love.  Life is precious.  Today is fleeting, tomorrow is always uncertain.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”
~ Mary Oliver, New and Selected Poems

We only get one ticket to ride on the journey of life.  How many precious days do we waste?  How many weeks end with regrets for time not spent?  Or time not spent well? No need to dwell on the thought; just resolve to start anew before there are no more days to start again.

Prayers, good karma and healing thoughts flowing to those in need.
