Running While Traveling in Paris — What a Way to See the Luxembourg Gardens!

I always consider running a form of traveling — whether at home or elsewhere.  You see the world from a different perspective, and often see corners of the world or your own backyard you might not otherwise see.  When in Paris, we wanted to take a peek at the Luxembourg Gardens, but also were pressed for time before a concert that evening.  So, a quick jog to the Gardens from our hotel in the 6th arr. was a perfect way to tour the Gardens while also getting in a much-needed run (OK, maybe one too many Laduree macaroons had something to do with it?!)

The Luxembourg Gardens were a series of criss-crossed paths, full of hidden gardens, statuary, fountains, and a diverse variety of tourists and locals enjoying a lovely day.

You always can find room for a pair of running shoes in your suitcase (or on your feet)!  Making time for a run while traveling often invites you to view to a spot you may have otherwise never taken time to explore — and also helps to justify having more macaroons!  What’s your favorite travel run memory?
