The charming town of Pienza in the Val D’Orcia region of Tuscany, is known for its pecorino cheese made from sheep’s milk.  Pairing a slice of pecorino with a dollop of honey makes a perfect appetizer companion for a nice glass of Italian red wine!  This pairing is what distracted us from exploring the town of Pienza, as we could not tear ourselves away from this view as we enjoyed our pecorino and honey at the Terrazza Val D’Orcia restaurant.
