White-Tailed Deer are commonplace in northern Minnesota. So common that my favorite running companion hardly pays them any mind when we encounter them on paths and trails.
The sides of this path are still piled with snow (although the piles have diminished in recent weeks!), but once the snow fully melts, this is not an unusual sight.
As the deer grazed, Corbin pondered him, and then decided to join in.
The deer quickly realized that Corbin posed no threat, and they maintained a peaceful coexistence.
Wouldn’t the world be a wonderful place if we could all be so respectful?

Love those thoughts on co-existence. It would be a wonderful world if we could all just get along. I find it hardest with those I am closest too. Wonder why that is.

Those we are closest to often see us at our worse.

Cool pictures. Corbin is such a good dog! My dog would go running in the opposite direction 🙂

So true, Kat. If only we humans, the so-called “superior race” could learn a little from these so called “animals-with-no-sixth-sense”, this world would be a much better place to live in!

I was just promising myself that tomorrow I’ll begin walking every morning again in hopes that within a couple of months I’ll be running when I came across your post. I followed you on over to Pinterest and found your board on running very inspiring.

I am still more walking than running, too — was a long winter!! But a mile is a mile no matter the pace :-).
